Hartlepool Camera Club meets each Monday and Wednesday evening (barring public holidays) from 7.00PM-9.00PM, Room 10 in the People's Centre, Raby Road, Hartlepool.
We have a spacious and well-equipped portrait studio, complete with professional lighting and backdrops.
We offer tuition in basic photography techniques for beginners and are also equipped to offer tuition to beginners in the use of digital photo-manipulation programs such as Photoshop Elements.
We are affiliated to the Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF) and make use of their registered Judges for our regular photo competitions.
We provide a full and varied diary of events throughout the year, including competitions, guest speakers, audio-visual lectures, studio nights and outings. We even (occasionally) take a short holiday together!
The Club is open to ALL comers, whether absolute beginners or seasoned photographers.
Membership fees are currently set at £15 per year, but don't worry... we won't demand money from you the second you walk in the door!

Activities & Events
We have a action packed diary and often host guest speakers and lectures. We also run 10 competitions throughout the year which are judged externally by judges registered to the NCPF.
Recently Dave Coates ARPS, EFIAP/g, EPSA,, MPAGB, APAGB and his good wife Sheila Coates LRPS, DPAGB, EFIAP thrilled us with examples of their work.

Twice a year we hold print exhibitions in the main library in Hartlepool. These are extremely popular and well received. Last year Andrew Payne took centre stage alongside Stephen Emmerson and dazzled the public with examples of their work.

And of course a good camera club needs a presentation evening at the end of the year. Last year The aVenue staged the event. A time to reflect the year gone and award members for their efforts.
